    People don't buy things because it's smart or they are an idiot... especially at this level. They buy things because there is some tangible benefit in it for them. (W.I.I.F.M. What's In It For Me?) In the tanning industry there are probably only a select few benefits that people are seeking. i.e. To make me look healthy, to look sexy, to prevent sunburn when I'm outside, to make the other women jealous, because it's in style. etc. If, in a conversation, you can learn quickly what benefit a person is after, then pitch the benefit they are seeking. See, it's easy... and you don't have to pressure them to make conversions. Just give them the answers they are looking for. Don't try to sound like a TV commercial. Tell them HOW you can give them the benefit they want to buy.
