Go to : WWWSTAACADEMY.com. This is a Catholic named private school, but you dont have to take the religeous course they offer. They do provide an excellent source of materials for learning. Much more advanced than your public schools. The cost is about fifty dollars to sign up. Then they send an assessment packet for you to fill out. Then they assign you a counselor who goes over your educational needs and sets up an individual curriculum. I am not Catholic but love this program. The total cost for books and everything last year was about 400 dollars. Worth every penny. They also have a grade reporting system if you choose, and you can get your State High School Diploma. Not a GED. If you dont like the way a book is trying to teach you on a subject, just call them and they will substitute something for you or let you choose which book you would like best for your studies. Its a wonderful way for young adults to get their education. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure about how to switch this late, but I'm sure there must be something that must be able to be done. I mean, people move and transfer from school to school mid-semester or mid-year, so why not school to home school? I hope you find your answer on that. As far as good programs? I did Keystone National High School (based in Bloomsburg, PA) my final year of high school. It was a good set up. You could either take classes that were strictly internet-based (meaning no books for the most part) where you messaged (it was more like e-mail, only not since you did it on their site) or called your teacher for help and then classes where you didn't have that constant support, but you did have a physical book and could call your teacher and had paper tests to mail instead of online tests. Just make sure you understand it requires A LOT of dedication on your part. You have to be self-motivated. Be sure you have a means of social interaction, too, or else it gets really bad. Trust me. Best of luck on your search!
