I'm fairly sure that is entirely dependent upon hundreds of factors such as where you are landing, how fast you are going, the skill of the pilot, wind speed, etc. Plane crashes these days from established commercial airlines are extremely rare, and out of those few accidents it is not common for deaths to occur.
