Chemical pregnancy is the same as blighted ovum. The sack develops but no fetal pole, thus no embryo. Just empty sack. It has all symptoms of pregnancy and can go as far as 11-12 weeks before miscarriage. (usually much earlier and usually if miscarriage does not happen the ultrasound shows the empty sack).
