Are emperor scorpions good pets for a 14 year old?

i am about to turn 14 in september 29th and i wanted a emperor scorpion.My dad says he is going to get me one and i just wanted to know if they are good pets for my age.Thank you :D

Scorpions are always a dangerous and risky pet. I would say It depends on the trust you have with your yourself, and if you believe you are capable of handling it. You must ask yourself, is it an animal no one in the household has a problem with? Have I had previous experience with an animal such as this? Will I be able to care for it and give it a good loving home? If the answer is no to any of these questions, please do not buy the animal, let someone who is experienced take care of it, and give it a good home. If not, enjoy your new pet :)
