Did i get charged from ebay?

Do i still get charged on ebay if my item doesnt sell?

    Fourleaf is correct, and you are sadly mistaken. Having sold nearly 8,000 items on ebay I think I know the fees by now. You are charged an insertion fee for every auction you list on ebay that is nonrefundable and is charged regardless of if the item is sold or not. You are also charged a fee IF something sells. You are also charged a fee by paypal every time a payment is made to you. What I suggest to all sellers is to go to both ebay and paypal and go to the rate fee schedules listed on each site and print them out, so you have a good idea of what your fees will be for each item you sell. That way you don't end up selling items for no gain.

What may be confusing the people above is that ebay does run 'specials' sometimes for certain users. They have 'free posting' days when no insertion fees are charged at all. They have rules about if the item does NOT sell, you can repost it; if it then DOES sell, the fees for the first listing will be refunded. For new users, like yourself, they may also have some type of 'no purchase = no fee' special deal that we users don't know about, because it does not include us. But FOR THE MOST PART, the above is correct. We DO get charged even if the item does not sell.
