How do make a DVD picture clearer?

Would a blu-ray dvd player make that much difference to the picture and sound quality of my dvd's?

    The quality depends on the quality of the discs and movies sources, nothing to do with the player, only if the player can work well. So the quality is the same on DVD Player or Blu-ray Player.
