  • Answer:

Yes, you can. Just connect DVI to your computer and HDMI to your TV/LCD It shoud work fine. Here're a few tricks to get it works w/ sound: Plan A: 1) Right click your computer Speaker Sound (or click on it) 2) Select playback device, then choose HDMI or DVI to "set as Default" (*) 3) Test by playing a movie and you should have sound now. Plan B: if your computer DVI does not support sound or your TV has no sound at all (after you tried Plan A). 1) You'll need a separate 3.5mm male to male audio cable (walmart, Bestbuy, or radioshack). 2) A RCA stereo splitter jack (the one with RED and Yellow or Red and White female jacks at one end and a single female jack at the other end, you can easily find this at Walmart, Bestbuy or Radioshack) 3) A 3.5mm female to RCA male adapter (again @ Walmart, BB or Radioshack). Now you connect the 3.5mm male to male cable to your computer audio output (green) at one end and the other end go to (#3) a 3.5mm female to RCA male adapter. After that, connect the male end of the adapter to the RCA stereo splitter (#2). Finally, connect Red to Red and Yellow to Yellow (or White to Yellow) of your TV/LCD input. Note: If you select Plan B, then you should select computer's SPEAKERS as your audio "default" output (*) Have fun :o)
