Notebooks are generally, smaller, cheaper laptops, that are useful for small things like browsing the web, writing on word, etc... whilst laptops are more suited to more hardware demanding stuf like watching movies, playing games, etc... look at dells notebooks, and laptops, the inspiron range is particularly good and the warranty is SO useful.
