Is there an easy way to extract audio from a DVD?

Is there any way to extract a video from a cracked dvd?

In agreement with Rugratzz, be very careful and avoid putting the disc back into the tray as when it spins, the hairline crack in the DVD can get bigger and even shatter the disc and blow up the drive, i.e. a dead laptop. As yourself the value of the video. Is it something which can be replaced (i.e. a film maybe?), because normally when a DVD has unreadable its virtually unreadable anywhere else and its pretty much bit the dist. Sorry man... :(
