    Many TV's may have a PC interface but the supported resolution is limited. Its best to get a DVI--->HDMI cable or adapter and use that instead. Set your video driver to 1920x1080, 60hz refresh, native (non-scaled) mode for the TV display. Your computer should detect the TV anyway and limit available resolutions.

you may have to enable the HDMI port in your video card drivers and make sure the correct HDMI port is selected on your TV if this doesn't work, likely the video card is displaying in an incompatible format for the TV, try changing the resolution to a coulple different modes, see if any show up.
