How to cook a simple turkey?

i plan on making a simple turkey so my parents don't think I am a complete screw up in the kitchen..haha...I just need a simple way to cook turkey, nice and juicy. Thanks!

you should use a syringe to inject the following into each breast: 1 stick melted butter, 1 teaspoon rubbed sage, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion salt. inject all of this evenly... now bake the turkey BREAST SIDE DOWN! on a mirepoix of 2:1:1 of onion, celery and carrots rough chopped at 250 degrees for 6 hours...now uncover it, turn it right side up carefully or it will fall apart!, and flash it at 450 till crispy! about 15 minutes. if this is not the best turkey you have ever had, i will gladly take my own life!

rinse turkey, pat dry and season with garlic powder, pepper, rosemary, thyme, sage and salt. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Place turkey, breast side up in large sturdy pan. Add a pat of butter to the top of the breast. Sear for 15 -20 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees. Cover turkey pan conpletely with aluminum foil around turkey. Figure 15 minutes per pound for the time to cook. You can add a few more pats of butter. Juice will accumulate inside the turkey, so use a turkey baster. Baste every 20 minutes. During the last 40 minutes, uncover the turkey to let brown. You will have a very beautiful, golden brown and juicy turkey.

take out the bag from the butt part, its liver and gizzard, open bag& put the liver and gizzard, oh turkey neck which is also in there, put it in the pan, ok in a saucer or bowl put your seasoning(saltm onion powder or whole onions, red pepper, etc... well mix the seasoning in a bowl or saucer(i use a saucer, easy to get to). after that is mixed, cut lil holes in your turkey, and with the end of a knife, put the seasoning in the holes, put enough to give a flavor. after that sprinkle some seaoning all over your turkey, rub it on with oil, put 2 cups of water in pan, cover, start checking on it after a hour. it'll take bout 3 hours to cook.don't forget to baste it, like after that hour, take a cooking spoon& take juice out the pan and pour over turkey, thats it

Fridge it overnight. Cook it at 500 for 30 minutes. Turn the temp down to 350, place foil over the bird and cook until legs reach a temp of 175 and the breasts reach 115. the easiest way is to use a reynold cooking bag, you just follow the directions on it and it will make a juicy turkey, also buy a pop-out thermometer - and a regular meat thermometer - the pop out will pop out a red thingy when it is done - then use the regular one to test it & buy a over roaster reinforced throw away turkey pan make sure you fully defrost the turkey or buy a non frozen turkey remove the innards from both ends - they are normally in bags for stuffing/dressing buy 1-2 bags of stuffing mix, i frying pan heat the butter (as directed on the bag) slowly and add 3 stalks of celery diced and 1 meduim onion diced, then add the water as described on the bag of stuffing mix - stuff both ends of the turkey if you do not want to use stuffing/dressing - stick 1 peeled while meduim onion and 2 stalks of celery cut in half into the large cavity of the turkey place turkey in the oven bag as directed and bake as directed - you can add baby carrots and whole baby potatoes to the oven bag around the trukey too!!! every 45 minutes turkey turn the turkey 1/2 way around remove the turkey from the oven after you check the temp as directed on the oven bags & it is to the correct temperature everywhere - allow to cool 15 minutes before cutting - use this 15 minutes to make gravy for simple gravy use a turkey baster or large cup to scoop out all the dripping from the turkey into a meduim pot and put on stove on high - in seperate glass mis 2 tbs of flour with 4 tbs of cold water until well mixxed - add 1/2 of this mixture tot he dripping slowly while you stir - stir the gravy until it comes to a boil - then lower to a light boil and keep stirring - for thicker you can add a bit more of the flour mix - only add it as needed - boil while regularly stirring for 15 minutes as it thickens

You will need a large roasting pan, foil, turkey,onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, rosemary leaves and oil. Take the roasting pan, line it with foil (long sheets that will wrap around the whole entire turkey.) Wash the turkey and make sure that the bag inside the turkey is taken out. Place it on the foil in the pan. Peel a large onion and place inside the turkey. Rub the turkey with a little vegetable oil, then season it with salt,pepper, rosemary(a little) and garlic. Wrap it up tight in the foil so it is like a big foil ball in the roasting pan. Then, add about 4 cups of water into the pan and then re-cover the whole pan with foil again. This will create a barrier for the juices to stay in. Bake it for the recommended time for the weight of the bird. When that time is up, CAREFULLY open up the outer foil (steam will come out and it could drip out when you move the pan) and then cut the foil off from around the turkey. Put it back in the over for about 20 minutes to brown up. I cook the turkey this way since it turns out juicy and I dont have to baste it.

Take out the plastic bag inside with the gizzard, and throw it away I guess. Put an apple inside of it. Bake it in a large pan, and cover it in foil. Cook it at least 3 hours, but check it every 30 mins to see how done it is. Brush some butter butter over it when you check it. If you cut a piece off the breast and it looks done, it prob is. When it is nearly done, take off the foil so the skin can crisp for 30 mins. Don't feel foolish asking your mom to see if she thinks it's done.
