Why does my phone freeze whenever I turn it on? How can I prevent this?

Is it a cell phone? My husband works for a cell phone company and the same thing was happening to mine a while back. If it's still under warranty and/or if you have insurance on it, take it to the store and have them send it out for repair. They won't do anything to it if it has water damage. To see if it has water damage, open the back, take out the battery and see if the white circle things have red dots. If they do, it means your phone has either been exposed to liquid or humidity and the phone company isn't responsible for fixing it.
