How to work out Ucas Points?

When you do A levels do you get the UCAS points for both the AS and A2 grades?

  • Answer:

Yes, but if you finish your AS the ucas points you get would be the complete points for your a levels, so it would be your AS plus you A2 grade. But if you take an extra AS that would count also. So for example if you got 3 A's for your a levels, each is worth 120 ucas points, so al together that's 360. And if you got for example a C but only as an AS grade, that would be an extra 40 points, so you would have 400 ucas points.

noooo... when you have completed your A2, your AS gets added to it and gives you an overall A level. Thats why people re-sit their AS exams to boost up your A level grade. But if you don't carry onto A2 then you can just cash-in your AS and get that grade.
