Bmw 381i when I go to cd mode on my radio it tells me no magazine?

    I get this all the time with my 325, what I have to do is take the magazine out then place it in firmly until you hear the disc being taken. Then I just press the 1-6 buttons a few times, it will say no disc again but if you leave it for a few secs it normally fixes itself! quite a pain eh considering we drive fine cars!! lol hope this helps :)

Usually it is a bad Cd cassette (aka magazine). It is a cheap item. Just buy 1 and replace it. Re- rear lights warning, check not only the bulb contacts but also the bulb socket's contacts. Usually they become corroded and cause a higher resistance to current flow and thus bring on the check light. In the newer E46 models (you did not mention your car's year of production), the cable connector's ground pin melts along with the pins of the bulb carrier. This means replacement of the connector and the bulb carrier along with the addition of an extra ground wire.
