How does suspension affect college admissions?

How badly would suspension for marijuana use affect my chances of getting into college?

  • The only colleges I want to attend is John Jay college for criminal justice and saint johns

  • Answer:

for criminal justice, kind of defeats the purpose/ ironic if you ask me. Ask your guidance if it will appear on your transcript. If it is on record with the police dept./state it might ruin your chances.

Screw Corn. It might be a little ironic that you're studying criminal justice, but colleges don't find out if you've been suspended or had so and so amount of detentions. All that matters to them is whether or not you've been expelled or it's on your record. Even then, your record is expunged once you turn 18. Don't worry about it. As long as you have the grades, you should be fine.
