    It really depends on how adventurous he is. My 6th grader HATED the Harry Potter main ride (Forbidden Journey.) She loves HP but she and I both suffer some motion sickness and that ride will get you quesy easy. It also could be too freaky for a 6 year old. The Dr. Seuss stuff is all cute. Of the 3 water rides - 2 have significant drops that could be a bit much if the child isn't adventurous by nature. I personally would choose Disney any day over IOA. But my kids aren't big on "thrill" rides and "scary" stuff. Do go and get your butterbeer in the morning in the "keeper" mug. With that mug you get soda/lemonade refills for less than a buck each in it for rest of day.

I think he would like IOA more. It has Dr. Seuss land, The Marvel comic land, Harry Potter, Popeye, etc. Universal is more geared for adults.

Universal Studios is more of a sit down park , meaning more shows than rides. After Jaws ride just now closed you got only...Men in black, Simpsons, The Disaster, ET, Ripride Rocket and Mummy. The rest are just shows right now... but they do got the new parade and fireworks dont know how good it is yet will be there in 2 weeks to see.(I remember when IOA wasnt even there and Universal Studios had more things, Universal Studios has went down hill since IOA came along. I will tell you the ET is out of date lame and the Men in Black is lame too. But your 6 yr old will love them!!! The shows are cool if you like shows most in 3D. But winner is Islands of adventure more fun......I really love it there and has more rides and fun!! If your nephew loves thrill rides. Islands is way more fun! And everything is better like characters and rides.
