How do I put new rear speakers in my car?

New JVC car stereo installed. Rear speakers don't put out much sound now...?

    Try this: Adjust the fade all the way to the rear. Adjust the balance all the way to the left or right. Is it louder with only one speaker playing than with both speakers playing? If so, they wired the rear speakers out of phase and you're getting cancellation. It should be a quick fix.

Is there a switchable "Loudness" setting on your head unit? Which would boost the volume as well. You may be filtering too much frequencies which would make it low volume as well.

when you say they, I assume you had it prof installed at some type of stereo shop.... I'd take it back. just guessing, I'd say when they connected your rear speaker wires at the back of the radio, they are either touching each other or one is touching a ground point.
