I'm not sure I understand the question correctly, but there are many stage types designed exactly for this purpose. Something that is called laululava in Estonian and ÑÑÑÑада in Russian. I don't know if this stage format can be encountered anywhere outside of ex-USSR. The biggest one I know is probably the Song Festival Grounds (Lauluväljak) in Tallinn, Estonia:
