    "We pay amongst the highest energy prices in the world..." But you pay less if you use less energy - so why not do it? I've never been an environmentalist of any sort and, while I believe in much of the concern regarding climate change, it's not something I worry about day and night. However, when you look at the money you can save yourself off your energy bills by carrying out some of the simple energy-saving measures that we're being "brainwashed" with, it's seems daft not to bother - whether you give a hoot about climate change or not!

Because if we don't reduce our greenhouse gas emissions eventually we'll face a catastrophic climate change. The US will catch up once we elect a sane president, hopefully in 2008. China and India will catch up once they become more developed, but in the meantime the developed nations need to lead the way. England and other nations are setting a good example which is putting pressure on the USA to follow suit.
