How do i learn to play jazz bass?

I play bass and i wanted to know how i to geat better want to learn like jazz and blues any suggestions?

  • Answer:

Get hold of scale charts and learn them in all keys and positions. Get a drum machine that does different beat patterns so you can get used to different time signatures. Then after all that, try and jam with other musicians.

i think your asking how to get better at jazz and blues. but you should really check your question for content pending grammar...... Youtube has great lessons. practice a lot. play with as many other musicians as you can and don't be afraid to ask how to do what they just did. learn everyday and you'll see improvement.

first, get a good tuner. burn one and start playing along with CD's. keep it simple up front, then develope your technique. Your picking style is important on bass, whether you use a pick (felt pick or plastic) or a dominate finger. Check this dude out, awesome bass player: (notice his picking hand finger work)
