What is the job called where a person makes medicine or antibiotics for things that aren't cured yet? I'm interested in those kind of things. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems to me that those folks work under grants. Places like Merc would know, give them a call and continue asking there (ask for several different people) till you get your answer.
