What should I do to become a paralegal?

What is the next step after you become a paralegal? would i become lawyer and how? is there something between?

You will want to get a degree to be a Paralegal from a great school. Businesses look at where you come from to make hiring decisions. They have very high standards.

If you want to become a lawyer, you have to go to Law School. BUT, we already have an absolute GLUT of Legal Professionals with not enough jobs to go around. Go into healthcare if you want a job.

If your goal is to become a lawyer, being a paralegal is not a step on that path. It might be something you do to find out if you want to practice law, or as a way of supporting yourself in the meantime. . . . But if you want to be a lawyer, you have to get a Bachelors, take the LSAT, get into a law school, do your time in law school (generally 3 years, but I think some are now adding practicals), then pass the bar and get licensed by your state. A good place to start is probably talking to a pre-law advisor at your local state college.
