Please iron your clothes, be neat and stain free, act like you want to be there even if you're having a bad day. If your restaurant has a dress code follow it, usually it's black slacks and white shirt, black shoes...don't be overbearing but serve people like you want to be served and you'll get tips

Well, what I always look for in a waiter is a clean appearance and a friendly attitude. Be polite, and couteous. Always listen to what the customer has to say. Remember, a good smile is a great way to get a good tip. I also leave a big tip to any waiter thats "on top of things", for example, when a server brings a drink refill without me having to ask for one. As for what to wear, make sure you look professional. Check if the restaurant has a dress code, and follow those guidelines. However, regardless of the dress code, always look neat, and avoid a sloppy appearance.
