    Not only you will be paid less (as you stated) and as Diane stated about scope of your practice, in time, this can be bad for your career because it just look strange on your resume.

Working below your grade is always very tricky. You have to be scrupulous that you do not exceed the scope of practice of the position. The minute you perform as a RN in a CNA position, you are open for legal liability. For that reason, many employers are very leery of hiring some one overly qualified. Also, they know you are not going to stay long. In addition, it depends how the job description reads--if it reads a licensed LVN, they may have to rewrite it, because, technically, you are not a CNA or a LPN--these are legal hurdles, for which the medical profession is rife. Personally, I would work at Macys rather than as a CNA--they actually pay the same.
