You won't be with one patient throughout the appointment (say, an hour). You'll show them what to do, or you pay place a heating pack on their back, and leave them alone for a while, to rest. You may then start with another patient and you go back to the first one in time. You won't be in a room full of people. Each patient ought to have some privacy and the curtain provides that. And a physical therapist won't deal with an emergency like a doctor or a nurse does. An urgent appointment, perhaps, but not a true emergency.
