    Pros of being a PA over a physician: Less schooling (less debt) More free time Greater flexibility changing specialties Less stress (physician has the ultimate responsibility, no worries about malpractice insurance) Cons: Lower income Not the definitive say Not an independent provider Aside from this PAs have some excellent perks that they share with physicians. Great job security, great pay depending on the specialty, never boring.

I got my undergrad in biology and im going to medical school now. Honestly, a physicians assistant is a good way to go especially if you want a family and more free time but the position of a PA is slowly dying out.
