I am an electrical/computer engineering student, what is a good way to get or find an internship?

i do not really know anybody in the field other than fellow students but i am very eager to find an internship and can use any advice on how to find one.

check out the IEEE and professional engineering societies. They often have local dinner meetings that students are invited to. You buy your own meal and you get to talk to real live engineers.
