How are job opportunities in human resource management?Is human resource management course better with jobs?

In my experience there aren't a lot of employees needed in a human resources department. Where I worked for quite some time was at a 200+ bed hospital, of course with all shifts covered with medical staff, plus the dietary staff, engineering, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry people plus tons of other departments. There were three women who worked in that department with one other (from medical records) who filled in at times when they were behind. I did all the HR for my department, as we were a non-traditional hospital department and I really enjoyed it. There are lots of rules that must be done a certain way, but that appeals to me. And knowing when I pulled an HR file I could go through it blindfolded made me feel very good. When ever a surveyor came to the hospital and wanted to review HR files the administrator sent them to my department because he know ours were in tip-top shape! The single most important factor to work in HR is to know that you can keep your mouth shut! Everything that comes into or goes out of that department is strictly confidential. You must never be tempted to gossip about things you learn while working there.
