You can use a program called the "Messenger Backup Wizard" to copy your display pictures from inside Windows Live Messenger, check it out here http://www.sherv.net/backup.html

Your webcam pics will get saved automatically in a folder. If you used it for Windows Messenger, Im not tooo sure if it gets saved, but if wanted you could screenshot and crop the photo.
