Should I even bid on the eBay items with absurdly low starting bids?

    People are sitting around waiting for the last few hours to bid on those items that have no bids or low bid prices. Many people also set reserve prices that are higher which means you have to meet them to win the item.

Why not bid? If someone outbids you , then you have lost nothing but 5 seconds of your time. If no-one outbids you , you have a bargain. If you really want to win it, bid whatever you are willing to pay for it - Ebay does auto-bidding so you could still get it for a lot less.

Usually it will have a reserve not met... or they will have a ridiculous shipping price.
