What do you know about Morrow Snowboards?

Does anybody know any cheap snowboards for a beginner?

  • Yeah Ive just been snowboarding and i really like it. So i wanna buy my own snowboard for next year. So does anybody know any cheap but durable ( also good quality ) Snowboards? ...show more

  • Answer:

i agree with www.evogear.com....i've searched countless websites and they were by far the cheapest...the cheapest boards are Morrow and 5150....but i personally l;ike to stick with companies that have a long history in snowsports--i have a K2 board and think its amazing... @Woo..i'm well aware that K2 makes morrow and 5150..what i meant was that they just RECENTLY started making those boards so they could cater to the low end crowd (like k mart boards)...my K2 is nothing like a morrow is my point even though they are made by the "same" company

Right now is the perfect time to buy. Every shop is marking down this seasons gear up to 50% off so you can find deals on all sorts of great boards. They're also liquidating last seasons stuff at up to 80%. If you're looking for solid decks to progress with I'd check out these since you can find great deals on them. Ride DH, ride DH2, Atomic Hatchet, k2 believer, jibpan, and darkstar, rome agent, mod, graft. These are just a few to check out and see what deals are floating around.

Lol @ Mr. New England K2 make Morrow and 5150... but K2 is their top end boards and the other 2 are the cheap versions. Generally, if you want a good board, save up and pay for a good board!

I would go with the Burton Blunt, Clash, or Bullet. The Blunt is a park board while the Clash and Bullet are all-mountain boards. All of these boards are under $210 on www.sierrasnowboards.com right now because their having an end of the season sale. You might want to check out the Ride Agenda too. It's one of the best beginner/intermediate boards available on the market today and it consistently gets high ratings from Transworld Snowboarding Magazine every year.

It's unfortunately one of those sports that you shouldn't compromise quality. You want to have proper fitted, tuned, and riding style appropriate gear. I'd suggest saving your money and getting some nice equipment. Lib-tech or Gnu Rome Ride (questionable) Nitro It's an expensive sport, no way around it. Deals can be had on ebay and craigslist, but watch out for stolen stuff...it happens. A lot.
