    Lamar is garbage, avoid it at all costs. Buy a board from a reputable brand. While I agree that you don't need to drop thousands of dollars on a new setup when you're just starting out you should never buy a "beginner" board. Chances are, you won't be a beginner for very long so why waste the money a board made for one?

My answer is pretty much the same as everyones above me...buuut, Big 5 and probably other similar stores sell Lamar boards for about a 100 dollars...so don't waste your money on it. When looking for my first board i checked out those cheap boards and ended up getting a burton from a pawn shop for way cheaper.
