They walked out happy with hundreds of dollars in there bank accounts and got famous in matter of months. I really dough its based in true events, think of it this way....Paranormal is based on the events of demons that posses, wish came from the events of the Exorcist, wish the Exorcist is based on events from a person that most likely was having a seizure or traumatic experience during the early 50's and was believe to be posses. The actors...uh I mean the 8!tch and Micah were paid well and they're still around. It's not based on real events, that was a ploy to sell a movie that sat on a shelf for two years...the idea worked a little too well I'm afraid.
