  • Answer:

Both lymphocytes and neutrophils are white blood cells. Although they account for 25% of the wbc population only a small portion are found in the bloodstream. They are mostly found in lymphoid tissues (spleen etc...). They act directly against virus infected cells, produce antibodies. Neutrophils are phagocytes, most partial to bacteria and some fungi. If you were not pregnant I would say you body was fighting an infection/ bad eating habits. However since you are pregnant, these probably do not apply. The body responds differently when creating a new life... any concerns should be addressed to you doctor, but in the mean time... be happy and relax.
