When homeschooling a teenager?

When homeschooling a teenager...?

  • do you need to be there constantly watching and helping them with their work like you would a young child? or can you just help them when they need help as long as they know what ...show more

  • Answer:

Well it depends on the teenager. Some of them will cheat (which is why there are some on here that ask for answers) and some will struggle without constant help. In most cases the amount of help a teenager requires is lower than that of a child though.

Other answers

It depends on if the child is honest. My mother pretty much let me be when I was being homeschooled as a teen because I was honest. She just checked every now and then that I was doing my work. If your teen is trustworthy, you shouldn't have to hover. If he or she isn't, you may be in for a long year.
