What does it take to get a photo into Explore on Flickr?

OK, so I joined Flickr just about one week ago and since then I've been actively involved in the "community". I didn't ask this question to get mind Explored right ...show more
Answer:

It's to do with how many views, favs, & groups an image is in. It's no guarantee of quality. I've had a few in there including an Explore 'front page' & that was I'm sure just down to numbers of views.

Explore means NOTHING! It is purely a computer driven algorithm and not something to base any success on. This is not to take anything away from people who have many 'explored' images but it means absolutely nothing to me and many others. On this basis I never congratulate anyone on getting their photograph 'explored'. Be content with decent feedback from respected contributors. It means so much more!
