How is card counting possible given that casino's shuffle the cards in blackjack? I don't know what card counting is exactly, but I don't see how it could work also, ...show more

A lot of casinos don't suffle the cards after each hand, they shuffle 6 or 8 decks at once then go through them all. That's what you are counting. That second question means nothing. Coming out a winner at what? 3:2 might mean 40%, but if you are talking about something in a casino, they don't pay out the true odds on the games.

Card counting is possible because the process begins when the first card comes out of the shoe. If you notice...the dealer burns a card at the beginning of each shoe..(and other times)...but there is a count taken to helpe better determine the outcome of the next hand. There are numerous variables that come into play..(no pun intended)..that must be addressed before question two can be answered. Watch the movie calle "21" about the MIT students.
