Why is Netflix not connecting?

I have an Oppo blu-ray player that is having problems connecting to Netflix. Has anyone else been having a problem?

  We had that problem at one time. It was because we susspended our account on netflix for 3 or 4 months and when it was reactivated Netflix had changed some internal code and what was happening was that our player was trying to attach itself to the old account .. but the problem would continue untill we got a newer Blu Ray player...So t sounds like to me it might be a bandwith problem Pandora doesn't take as much bandwidth as Netflix so it can attach much easier...if you have lots of people in the house using the network at the same time with cell phones tablets and Lap tops your router may not be strong enough to handle all the devises..you probably need an N600 router or higher to get a good connection speed also if your player is far way from the router you may not be getting a good signal....somethings like newer tablets; smart phones and game boxes have ways of prioritizing themselves for Bandwidth on a router which may push your Oppo to the side especially if your Oppo is an older model....Try making everyone shut off there devises and then access Netflix and see if that helps...if it does then that's your problem and your going to need a stronger router and or faster internet or a newer Blu ray player...
