  • Answer:

This is where HCS and Home Theater surround systems are falling short. The new sound systems are starting to develop more with multiple HDMI ins and outs, but for so many systems already existing, most people are S outta luck. You really need HDMI in and out to get the most out of your PS3 or any HDTV component system like cable boxes and High def players. We were lucky enough that when we bought our sound system, Sony had just released a 5.1 surround system for Blu-Ray players which had 3 HDMI ins to 1 HDMI out, and it is great to have everything go through your sound system and then to your tv. As far as older HCS or HTS's, I would hook up using Component cables (YPbPr option) if it has that capability. If not I would invest in a new home theater system one like mentioned above. Research models at sonystyle.com to get an idea of what your looking for.
