What is the best way or how do I hook up a digital projector to basic cable without using hdmi or a hidef box?

hi the who....you can use rca (composite-yellow-red-white) or (component - green-blue-red) and also you could use either of these as well....optical or s-video....for you to understand...please just use one of these cable applications as you dont have to link up every input that you see on the projector. also if you have these cables already just try each cable for a slight difference between each of them as in picture quality etc.....if you have not all of these cables to try and want some free advice I personally would just link the projector up via the rca cable (composite)...I hope this sheds some light on the matter for you...good luck.

If your projector doesn't have a cable input then you will need an RF demodulator and tuner. I've provided a link to one I found that outputs in RCA composite video. The RF demodulators are a lot more expensive than the modulators though. Or you could go through a VCR that has a tuner in it and can output RCA to the projector. Probably could pick up a thrift store VCR for $10.
