How do i change my printer status from idle to ready?

My printer status is offline, how can i change it to ready?

Many things could cause this: 1- The power is off 2- The printer is not connected to the computer 3- The driver is not there or it is uninstalled some how or it is bad driver. Check those and let us know

IT all depends on your situation. If the printer is on and connected correctly then it could be an issue with the driver that the printer uses to control your printer. Go into Control Panel and see if the printer is listed under the printers and other hardware menu. Go to the installed printers or fax printers heading within that menu to see if it is listed. The name of your printer should be listed to the right of a printer icon. It should also say "Online" if the printer is online. If it is not listed, try installing the driver disc that came with your printer or download a driver from the internet. Also make sure that it is plugged into the outlet and the computer and that it is turned on. It would also be helpful to know the model number and brand of your printer as well as what Operating System you have.
