Are black people forbidden in bicycle racing?

  • Why there is no black people in bicycle racings? I have only seen one black people in tour de france.

    Not quite sure, but although I see lots of cyclists, I see very few black cyclists. It may be cultural, it may be financial, but whatever the reason I don't think that there would be any reason why the teams or management of races would want to see any ethnic group excluded from racing, cycling already is a fairly small sport in North America, we would be stupid to discourage any group of people from participating.

This could be. Whenever private ownership uses private money they have the right to pick and choose. This remains the case in golf clubs and schools that are privately owned. Besides that, bicycle racing has low exposure in the black community, bicycling is not a prominent sport aired by the networks in the US. Best.

No one is forbidden to ride in the Tour De France if you are a top rider and can win championships you will be invited to be on a team. It's not like high school where almost everyone has a football, baseball, track, and a basketball team. If the school has a team you have to buy your own equipment. Basketball and Football players make a lot more money.

The question should be worded differently. Why are there no black people in bicycle racing? Many of us, black folks don't have the resources to engage in the sport. However, I have witnessed a few blacks in bicycle races throughout my 67 years .

blah blah so what? anyone good enough, gets in period it;s expensive to start bike racing so only rich people tend to do it who is rich in the world? uh huh or maybe there are rich women, people of color, etc, who could do it, but they just don;t care is that the fault of 'racing'? wle
