Why do people use delicious.com embedded search engine? Or, why do you use it?
-
Do you think delicious search engine works "better" than general search engines? Depending on what queries/topics?
-
Answer:
I used to use Delicious' search engine much more than I do now. I got out of the habit after the big redesign (which I happened to dislike quite a bit). They may have improved things since then. Ahem; anyway. When I used to use it a lot, I would use it for searches which turned up a page full of spam and sponsored articles in Google. Because of the way Delicious search works (based on how many people have bookmarked an article) and the fact that it is much less used than Google, it tended to produce much better results for normally-spam-ridden queries (such as "free hosting").
