Why do so many people treat Politics like Sports? Why do they only vote for their "Team"?

It's funny that you pose this question because my husband almost weekly says: the line between sports, politics, and entertainment is quickly disappearing. You are right... and I don't know what has happened to critical thinking in this country... has the education system failed us?

You are mistaken. To achieve your goal, you have to compromise. To compromise, you have to have people come to agreement and abandon their values, their ethics. No. That's wrong. We are strong as a nation because of our differences. Dictators want total agreement. WE don't. We need brakes and gas no matter what direction our nation is headed. We don't need brake-gas pedals, or gas-brake pedals. I do have nothing but contempt for the following: Voting for who you think will win rather than your own ethics. Political bigotry. Socialism (a more destructive ideology I do not know of). Other than that, as a Democrat, I urge people to disagree, dissent, and protest. We fought for that right. We're not going to lose it now. We have bloodless revolutions every two years (bigger ones every four). We are the envy of much of the world for that.
