How different is software testing in general from mobile app testing? Also, are any software testing resources relevant to app testing?

• I have been working as a mobile app QA for a few months now and have been looking for resources (ebooks/online/etc) to enhance my knowledge and skills in this area. However, what I mostly find is stuff pertaining to "software testing" and not much of it is relevant to mobile app testing, apart from a few general guidelines.
