How do you change your 360 picture?

How do you change your avatar to a picture NOT using Yahoo 360?

• Since Yahoo 360 is closing, how do I change my avatar into a picture so in Messenger it shows up as a picture of me instead of some cartoon.

  We haven't been able to use the Yahoo! 360 images for our avatars for a few months or more. If you want some other image as your avatar (It looks like there's a lot to it, but it's really very simple): First make sure you have the photo/image file that you want to use as your avatar on your computer. All avatars will be the same size. Choosing an image that is more square will work best. Next, go to your Y!A profile and click on the "View my Profile" link that's just above the "Edit My Info" link just to the right of your Y!A avatar to get to the new Yahoo! profile. Once there click on the “Change Photo” link located on your profile card. A “Select Photo” pop-up will appear that will display your uploaded photos that you may already have, with your default profile photo highlighted with an orange box. To change your default profile photo, simply select or upload a different image. You may u as many as 20 photos. When you upload a new image, a sizing box will appear. Adjust by dragging the "handles" in the corners. There are arrows on the left and right that allow you to scroll through your uploaded photos. Click on "Use selected photo" to select the photo you want to use as your avatar. Once that is done, go back to your Y!A profile, click on "Edit My Info" and make sure you've chosen "Use my Profile image". If you had already done so, all you have to do is refresh the page and you'll see your new avatar.
