I went down to Victoria, paid £101 and got me passport on the same day. Expensive but didn't have to worry about it getting lost in the post.

Think it's around £52, but go to the passport site and check, or the post office. Well worth getting it checked over by the post office for about £7. They help fill in the form, send it off, and I got mine by courier in 2 days

There are a variety of costs depending on the passport for which you apply and the service you want. Here is a link to the official UK passport agency website: http://www.passport.gov.uk/general_fees_passport.asp
