    Park Slope is as safe as any good area in Brooklyn or any of the Boroughs. It is also quite expensive. The Park Slope area is in the middle of Gentrification, so the Real Estate Agents have widened the area. Park Slope will sort of run into Carroll Gardens, with some not so great areas in between. Once you get into the teen streets 13th Street and below 4th Avenue, you may wind up in a more industrial setting and/or transition area than you would like. Just don't rent an on-line room or apartment (like on Craig's list) without seeing it first and remember you have as much right to check out the landlord as the landlord has to check you out.
