How long does an AFL game last?

If the AFL is forced to pay a carbon tax. how does this affect our game?

    as the AFL is not involved in a business of producing carbon (air pollution) i cannot understand that they will be carbon tax exempt or be forced to pay any such tax. and any impact this tax will have on football is nil. unless you believe the AFL is going to be held responsible for cars being driven to the football and back again. any taxes as a result of this law, for example, oval lighting, and the cost thereof, you can rest assured, the AFL will pass on to the entry prices at matches.

That's ok Shifty, I too am concerned. I am not sure how the AFL can be taxed for carbon usage. The only pollution I can see them make is noise pollution. The biggest impact will come from electricity companies charging us all double what the carbon tax is, in an attempt to keep their profits rising. This will be a huge impact as the AFL will have to raise admission fees to try and cover it. As we will already be struggling to meet the higher electricity charges, there will be less people able to afford the new admission charges meaning less attendance figures. That is the biggest impact I think we will see. cheers mate.
